THE PROM COMMITTEE PLANNING GUIDE

Prom season is less than a month away! There’s already buzz about who’s going with who, and who’s wearing what, but there is still real planning to be done. If you’re on the prom committee this year, consider using Limo Ride guide to help you get through it.

Establish a Budget
Most likely this part of the planning process is out of your control, but it’s the first step to take in the planning process. With the budget in place, you’ll be able to dictate how much money can be spent on the venue, the DJ, the food, etc. You don’t want to put the deposit down on a beautiful venue only to find that you can’t afford to decorate it.

Pick a Theme
The theme you choose with serve as the base for the rest of the planning process. Take a look at past themes and start a Pinterest board for inspiration. You can include the entire student body in the process by starting a class-wide poll, or you can use your executive powers as prom committee chair to make the choice.

Decide on Entertainment
Are you going to have a DJ play music at your prom or a live band? Will the school’s pop ensemble play for free? Consider your audience before making a decision. Would your class prefer to dance to contemporary tunes or would they have more fun listening to a live band?

Leave Room For Marketing!
A great way to get your classmates excited about prom is to get the word out. Make posters, design invitations, and even decorate the school’s hallways with decorations that correlate with your prom’s theme.
